Biography
Seemal is a highly skilled CU Control Lead overseeing an ATI-funded Airbus project. With a background in both academia and industry, she places a strong emphasis on human involvement in automation. Currently leading the research group IFRA, specialising in industrial robotics, integration, her focus spans areas such as robotic path correction, imitation learning, and coordinated swarm communication.
As a Co-Investigator on EPSRC-funded projects, Seemal plays a pivotal role in developing frameworks and integrating the human factor into responsive manufacturing and industrial human-robot collaboration. Her commitment to solving real-world problems while prioritizing the well-being of operators reflects her dedication to advancing automation technologies in a safe and efficient manner.
Notably, Seemal is the recipient of the residency fellowship with AMRC from 2023 until 2026, underscoring her excellence in the field.
