Biography
Katie is an Automation Specialist and Group Manager in the Target Discovery Department at the Novo Nordisk Research Centre in Oxford (NNRCO). The Target Discovery Department establishes and applies state-of-the-art human-centric in vitro assays for functional genomics and unbiased large-scale phenotypic screening to discover novel targets for cardiometabolic diseases.
Previously, she served as an Automation Scientist at the High Throughput Screening department at AstraZeneca. She completed a post-doc at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, focusing on High-Throughput Phenotypic Screening, and pursued her Ph.D. in Biomaterials at Imperial College London. At undergraduate level Katie studied Chemistry at Oxford, and her Masters project was in Computational and Organic Chemistry.
