Kimberly Dougherty
Sr. Director, Facilities & Operations
Atalanta Therapeutics
Biography
With over 15 years of experience, I started my career as an Administrator for PerkinElmer and worked for Schering-Plough, while I finished grad school, I then spent the next 3 years as an on-site service engineer, when the site was acquired by Merck, I was tagged to manage the relocation. From there my career shifted to field service and managing an ever-evolving Laboratory Relocation Program.
I eventually moved on to Vertex and was the Associate Global Director of Lab Operations. I went from being the OEM and service provider to being the customer. I love working with the scientists creating a better way to accomplish both of our goals.
I have been blessed with success in implementing a global CMMS (Computer Maintenance Monitoring Systems), and an asset utilization system, along with managing in-house teams for Lab Operations and Lab Services.
I am now at Atalanta Therapeutics as the Sr. Director of Facilities & Lab Operations. The energy and flexibility needed to work in a fast-paced growing environment is exciting. I am constantly learning through peers and the amazing network of other operations professionals. I thrive in creating plans and programs and discussing technology that keep my company going and the science moving forward.
