Biography
Mike Bonacum has held the role of Senior Director, Government Relations for GE Aerospace since June of 2023. In this role he interfaces with US Government stakeholders to advocate for GE Aerospace’s interests, with a particular focus on GE Aerospace’s innovation priorities, including the portfolios of GE Aerospace Research and Colibrium Additive, a GE Aerospace company. His career has almost exclusively focused on military technology, product, and business development.
Prior to his current role, Mike led Advanced Products Business Development for GE Edison Works. He has also served as the Competitive Assessment and Product Strategy leader for GE Aerospace’s Defense & Systems business, where he helped shape product offerings and technology development activities to best serve a variety of US Government customers. He previously held roles as a Systems Integration Leader on a US Air Force advanced development program and as the Technology Maturation Leader for the T901, GE Aerospace’s advanced turboshaft engine for the US Army’s UH-60 and AH-64 fleets.
Mike graduated from Cornell University and joined GE Aerospace in 2011 as part of the Edison Engineering Development Program, with rotational assignments in turbine design for a number of turboshaft engine products.
