Biography

Paola Ferrini obtained her PhD in Germany, at the Max-Planck-Institut fur Kohlenforschung in 2016. She then spent two years as postdoctoral researcher at KU Leuven in Belgium before moving to UK. Here she first joined the Centre for Rapid Online Analysis of Reaction at Imperial College London, to develop automated, data-rich workflows for the study of reactions.

Since 2020, Paola works in GSK as an Investigator in the High-Throughput Automation team in the Analytical Development department. Here, she focusses on automating workflows to improve data collection and analysis for various departments, using a wide range of automated, medium- to high-throughput platforms. Since April 2023, she has taken on the role of scientific and strategic lead of the team. More recently, she has been involved in the direction of the automation community within drug development at GSK.
